Writing today to recommend Pool & Deck Concepts. Anthony and Jen were the primary contributors to our project which was a cosmetic renovation, new automation of the pool system, new lighting & nook replacement, new salt system as well as a skimmer replacement to cure a leak which was the impetus for the project to start. All of the tile, glass block, skimmer and surface was removed expeditiously with minimal debris and what clean up was needed was done at the end of each work day. Additionally, we had an in floor valet system which worked but these systems have never been particularly functional. Anthony had a new and unique way of leveraging these pop ups by replacing with in floor returns which are quite discrete given they are also partially covered with the glass and stone surface finish. This mitigated the need for adding an additional return elsewhere which was a net benefit to the project and long term use of the pool. Bottom line, Anthony and Jen did a phenomenal job from start to finish. They were very responsive, professional, transparent and honest. The materials recommended, selected and ultimately used are beautiful and we are thrilled with the finished project. The team leading the work effort was diligent and fast while not sacrificing the craftsmanship; expertly aligning the tiles to achieve the look we desired when it all came fruition. Like with any significant project Anthony and I discussed the possibilities of delays for a variety of reasons. There are many unknowns heading into a project where you weren’t the original builder and its construction was 20 years ago. We hit a couple of bumps along the way but the critical part of me mentioning is that they just kept working the problems with me until we had resolution. Love this about their effort as many times companies with wrap up and essentially wash their hand of the project an move on. Anthony and Jen remained highly involved until all our requirements were satisfied and want to commend them for the partnership. I would highly recommend Anthony, Jen and the whole Pool & Deck Concepts team for a variety of projects from the pool, deck and other lanai related needs. – Zach and Erin S.

I recently had my pool, pool deck ,and Lanai completely renovated by Pool and Deck Concepts. The renovation of the pool included removal of all tile on the waterlines and steps with new tile installed, removal and replacement of the bullnose and redoing the entire finish of the pool. The deck and lanai had paver stones put down in the entire area along with a new hand rail replaced. The cage was prescreened from the chair rail to the deck. Beginning with the proposal process for this project through the completion of this renovation I can not think of an instance when Pool and Deck Concepts did not exceed all expectations. Everyone I had contact with provided the most professional and friendly service which made this entire experience painless. Trish was my original contact and walked my wife and I thought each element of what we would be looking at for the renovation. She was extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the work being requested and added suggestions to make the renovation better than what we originally envisioned. The contracted price was easy to understand for work to be performed and the cost of materials. She was wonderful. Our project manager was Edgar and I can not say enough about this gentleman. We were not living at the home when the renovation project was done. Edgar did an outstanding job of keeping me informed on every aspect of the project as the work moved along. He established the timetable for the job and if there was any change in the schedule he always notified me in advance. If I needed to contact him for any reason during the renovation he responded immediately to me. His attention to detail with all aspects of the renovation resulted in a first class job for the entire project. I cannot underestimate how impressed I am with his performance. This company deserves the high ratings they receive. They are a quality operation obviously due to the caliber of people that represent them. I would not hesitate to recommend Pool and Deck Concepts for any projects they would be involved with.

In May 2024, we decided to renovate our existing pool, screens, and lanai .A neighbor had used Pool and Deck Concepts todo the work and they were very happy with the finished product. We contacted Mark Masser who came to estimate the work. When we met with him at the office, we liked that they had pictures of projects done with various tiles and finishes. Even better, they had samples of surfaces, tiles, and pavers. One of the best pieces of advice Mark recommended was leathered marble vs travertine. It was a much better choice. The work began in October and we connected with the project manager Mark Iacovelli. There was a slight problem with the company delivering the dumpster, but happily Pool and Deck concepts absorbed the cost. After that, workers were there every day, and we were notified who to expect. Mark came by after each stage and always answered our questions. At one point a neighbor complained to the workers about noise (unavoidable) and dust. Mark immediately came and addressed my neighbors concerns. The work moved along and was done to perfection, not a single complaint.our pool, screens , and lanai look fantastic and we look forward to enjoying them for many years. I highly recommend Pool and Deck Concepts for their craftsmanship and superior work.

After so many years, we finally decided to renovate the entire patio incl. new pool, new deck with marble tiles and a (partly) new cage with picture windows. The positive experience started with the sales process. It was competent, kind, highly professional with modern tools in an excellent show-room and it was very patient despite the "communication gaps" between our two languages. Now, selling such a complex work is one thing, doing it is another thing. But also here Jen and her team (esp. Belen as the responsible Project Manager) did an excellent job, with high engagement, accountability and ...what is most important, when you are 7000 miles away, excellent communication incl. pictures, videos and calls if needed. One last thing. It's well known, that in critical situations you finally get to know your contractor, working partner; in particular, when something is not 100% going well. And here Pool&Deck showed their full quality by doing EVERYTHING (yes, I write this in Capital letters) to finish the work to my full satisfaction. Well done Pool&Deck. From my side, I wholeheartedly recommend Pool&Deck Concepts. PH

We went with them to do a huge renovation of the pool deck and pool and spa resurfacing based on positive reviews. Unfortunately, they did a bad job and we would never use again. Currently, our waterway stone is dissolving and forming a big calcium deposit under it. They are blaming our pool guy and the water chemistry but we have had him for years before the renovation and this has never happened. The stone is soft and calcium rich and dissolving, and was one they gave as an option so they should take responsibility. They refuse to replace the stone saying we are out of warranty (less than 8 months) and it is a natural stone so not their fault, but they are leaving us in the lurch after we spent more than $50,000. A reputable company with integrity would be mortified and try to help their customers after how much we spent. There were numerous red flags even from the pricing. Watch the numbers and they will charge for extra material that isn’t used and everything goes up. They also didn’t finish or even start in the promised time period, we had to keep blocking off time to finish the job that went months over. The workmanship was sloppy, many stones were chipped, cracked or even with broken lines but still put in and we had to fight them to replace those. They are unevenly placed and the lines look irregular and unprofessional, and some areas even a trip hazard. They cannot keep staff and our original project manager was replaced by another one and now he is gone too with a 3rd one we haven’t met. Jen the sole owner left (idk what happened to the other one Tricia) is not customer service oriented and very unpleasant to deal with. She’s refusing to even speak with me and hides behind her employees who are also rude. No doubt they will respond saying this is all lies like they did with another review, but I would not be spending my time and energy to post lies to warn others. They also left huge unsightly blobs of hard mortar oozing out from the pavers onto the outside knee wall. It took months of me asking for them to clean this up, and large blobs of mortar got mixed into our landscape rocks damaging the landscaping. I wish I could leave a good review and held off this whole time just preferring to resolve issues. Pls see photos of calcium deposit under eroding waterway, and multiple examples of defective lanai pavers put in that have saw marks, irregular edges and even cuts that they tried to hide with mortar. These are just a few but there were so many more. Also, they lied and marble DOES stain and it absorbs every grease spot from the grill and food spills, but they pushed the marble as it’s pricey. Don’t go with them if you want to deal with headaches and fight to fix problems.

This company continues to be very difficult to work with. I am not a complainer. I have many contractors that I recommend time and time again. I do not like writing bad reviews and hesitated to do so because this is a local, family owned company. The reason I am writing this is for you, if I had read a poor review on this company, I would not have gone with them. I want you to know this company is terrible at communication and customer service. This is not a “bargain” company, there price was more then most. The subcontractors were good, the overall job turned out well, although they were very messy even leaving their equipment leaning up against bushes on the neighbor’s property. The project manager was non-existent. I was told something would be happening, come home find out no work was done at all. I would call HIM, and get an excuse. I understand working with subs, all I would have like is a call or text telling me so and so will not be showing up today. This lack of communication happened almost daily. The person I believe is the owner’s sister is full of excuses and combative. The job was paid in full over a month ago, and I am still waiting for my salt system. The one they installed was faulty, it never worked and they are insisting I must go through a warranty process before it is working. It NEVER worked! Unreal in my opinion. This is just the last straw in a long line of horrible service and zero communication. If you are looking for a company that tells you someone is coming and they don’t show up, time and time again, and that does not stand behind their work, and is full of excuses for poor communication and customer service, this is the one for you, otherwise I would look elsewhere.
