My wife and I had met with several different builders when we set out to design our pool and new patio. Most of the proposals we got back, if we got them back at all, were rushed and didn't take all of our design requests and ideas into account in the final designs. That is until we met with Brett from Holland Aquatics. Brett came to our home and sat with my wife and I to get to know who we are and what we wanted to accomplish with our outdoor space today and in the future. He walked through details like using drain covers that would be covered with the WetEdge finish so the drains match the rest of the floor, and circular deck drains and skimmer cover with inlays that would use our travertine so they blend into the patio instead of those white plastic channel drains that make me feel like I’m at a public pool. My wife and I knew that we were going to move forward with Holland Aquatics the moment he walked out door. The thing that differentiated Brett from anyone else we met with, was his attention to every detail and they absolutely exceeded our expectations. We made the decision to start this project in Jan 20201, the middle of CoVID that crippled the global supply chain. Brett was in constant contact with us on material delivery dates, when crews would be onsite and dealing with all the issues that pop up on a project this large and with some many interdependencies. We ran into challenges and delays along the way, like every construction project does, but the most important is how you communicate and address those challenges. Brett took on every challenges personally and was in constant communication with me. Brett always picked up the phone or knocked on my front door to address any issues or delay. Early on in the project glass tiles were installed on the interior perimeter of the pool shell. We had selected a pattern that had some transparent tiles mixed in with white and blue ones. After all the tile was set in place, Brett came out to inspect the job, as he did with every sub-contractor throughout the process, he noticed that the trowel marks in the thinset were visible on all the clear tiles. My wife and I did not notice it until he pointed it out. He called that crew back out and had them rip all the tile out and redo the work because it was not right, not because we complained about it. The crew came back out and it happened again, you could still see some of the trowel lines. So not only did the tile get ripped out a second time, but Brett called the manufacturer of the thinset to come onsite for the 3rd install to make sure the tile team was applying it correctly and they did. Seeing that level of attention to detail so early on in the project and how Brett addressed it head on gave us a tremendous sense of confidence. We knew that any other problems that came up would be handled with the same exacting standards and they were. BTW, I didn’t see a single change order or was asked to contribute to pay for the additional material or labor. We had a few other situations come up over the project, nothing on the scale of the tile, that were all handled the same way, up-front communication and superior build quality. We wrapped up the entire project in just over 12 months, again in the middle of CoVID, and could not be happier with the results. The pool and patio came out amazing and we get tons of compliments on our custom fire feature that just pulls the who project together. I highly recommend Brett and the team at Holland Aquatics for your pool project.

We were referred to Holland Aquatics, by one of our neighbors who built a pool with them, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience! From the design process through construction, we had exceptional communication from both the Owner (Brett Holland) and his Office Manager (Michelle). We received weekly updates every Friday on the “projected” work for the following week, even if nothing was scheduled. This allowed us to come home everyday and not have to worry about when someone was coming back to work, as we have seen with so many projects in our neighborhood. We had a tight area to work with due to our pool equipment having to be placed behind the house, rather than the traditional “side of the house’ placement. This was due to an easement on both sides of the house. Even with the limited ‘canvas” to work with, Brett designed a stunning/functional pool for us, which allows us to swim laps, which was important to us. We also wanted the pool to be 7’ deep, which caused Brett some concern during the build, due an extremely high water table. Brett was not comfortable with the high water table, and took it upon himself to waterproof and bond coat the entire pool and spa prior to pebble, to ensure any potential issues in the future would be avoided. This is one of many examples of Holland Aquatics’ taking the additional steps to make sure the “quality” of our project is delivered as expected. Even with no one telling them to do so and on top of it, absorbing the additional cost to address the concern. From the conversations we have had with our friends, this is not common with other companies and something we are extremely grateful for. Brett’s knowledge of pool construction and desire to build a “quality” product was apparent on so many different occasions. Brett recommended that we went with their “standard” sanitation system which includes a Ultra Violet (UV) light, accompanied by a chlorine tab feeder with mineral cartridge. Even though we were unfamiliar with this system, as most of our friends told us to install a salt system (salt chlorine generator), we trusted Brett and went with his recommendation. We are very satisfied with that choice, as we do not experience any eye irritation or chlorine smell. The UV actually kills all the contaminants in the pool/spa and allows for a “lower” free chlorine level, which has made the swimming experience much more desirable from other pools we have swam in, even “salt” pools. Once the pool was completed, there were some areas on the travertine that my wife and I were not happy with. There was some excessive pitting/holes etc. Brett and his team came back out once the additional travertine was delivered and completed the repair to our standards. Their willingness to make the client 100% satisfied, as well their attention to detail, and top notch quality is the reason why we have referred them out to so many of our friends. They are definitely not the cheapest company in town, however if protecting your investment, quality, and communication is important to you, then you shouldn’t have anyone else build your pool other than Holland Aquatics!!! Five Stars, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Holland Aquatics is by far the BEST local pool builder! Like many of you reading this review, we searched endlessly for a trustworthy pool builder who could deliver a customized product. Holland Aquatics was recommended to us by our neighbors, who had just completed their project. Seeing their pool in person really painted the picture and set the bar high. After receiving quotes from other builders, we were left feeling uneasy and questioning their business model. Having heard horror stories of consumers duped by shady contractors, we knew we would be incredibly selective in our decision to hire a contractor. We contacted Brett @ Holland Aquatics for a consultation, based on the product delivered and experience our neighbors had. During our consultation, Brett’s knowledge of the pool industry was evident. We knew we wanted to contract with Holland Aquatics after our initial consultation; from the physical construction to the quality, Holland Aquatics far superseded any other pool builder in the area! Brett drafted our design, which included every detail and then some, that we requested in our custom pool. The 3D renderings were unreal, they were the perfect depiction of our backyard paradise. After we contracted, we were given an estimated timeframe of 6 to 8 months from dig to completion (which Brett delivered on schedule). Holland Aquatics requested the payments be equally dispensed as the project progressed, which was vastly different, yet reassuring in comparison to other quotes we received. Throughout our project, Brett oversaw every step of the process and was very meticulous with the work being completed by his crew; he even noticed things that were not to his standards and had them removed and refinished without our request. The pool building process was seamless! Brett and his office manager Michelle promised constant communication; they delivered! Every Friday we received email updates with the items to be completed the next week, including which crews to expect on our property. This communication is invaluable, we never questioned where we were in the build process. Upon completion of our custom-built pool, we couldn’t be happier with our final product. The pool far exceeded our expectations, we receive compliments from everyone who has seen it. If you are in the market for a custom-built pool, look no further than Holland Aquatics! We promise that you won’t regret it! Thank you, Brett @ Holland Aquatics, for making our dreams a reality and delivering such a beautiful product! We upgraded the interior finish, for anyone wondering the color, we chose Pebble Sheen Ocean Blue! We searched high and low for pictures of Ocean Blue interior finish 😊 We absolutely love the color choice; our water is beautiful at any point in the day!

Our journey with Holland Aquatics and its owner, Brett Holland, began over a year before our house was even built. My wife and I knew we wanted a home with a screened pool. I reached out to different pool builders to begin the process. When I first spoke with Brett, I knew his company was different from the other pools companies. When we first spoke over the phone Brett, and I spoke for an hour about his company and their services and the needs my wife and I had and what we wanted from a poll builder. I will never forget Brett asking me what was the most important thing for my wife and I and I told him pool quality was our biggest concern. We wanted a pool built to last and one that would serve our family and our needs for years to come. Brett told me that this was music to his ears as most people are concerned with price and time to build over quality and his company puts quality first. After going through the process, we can tell you that the price we paid is competitive with other pools companies we investigated and the time it took to build our oasis was about 4 ½ months from breaking ground to having water in the pool and us having our first pool party. Before our build began, Brett spent all the time my wife and I needed to make an informed decision as to the size of pool we wanted and the amenities we wanted to include. Brett worked with us to show us artist renderings of what our pool would look like with and without the amenities we desired. This allowed my wife and I to see our pool dream come to life before the build even began. Like any build, there were minor setbacks along the way such as weather delays. But, no matter what happened, we were always kept informed as to what was happening and what was next in the process with our build from Brett and his wonderful assistant Michelle. We were given weekly updates and reminders as what we would see happing at our pool build the following week. This level of service, transparency and openness of communication put our minds at ease that we were in good hands. Even after our build has completed, Brett and Michelle have been available for my wife and I to reach out and ask questions. They have always shown our happiness was a paramount concern for them and you just can’t put a price on that level of service. My wife and I could not be happier with the process of our pool build and the final product. We recommend Brett Holland and Holland Aquatics to anyone who wants a great pol builder and someone who will be with you ever step of the way. Thank you, Brett, and Michelle, and to your entire team!
