I had this pool now for about five months and wanted to wait before writing a review. So lets get started. The 1st thing to common ton is Bill who came out to my house and showed me the product, features and benefits of the product. Bill is extremely knowledgeable and rightly so since he used to own the companies for a few decades. BIll was punctual and work with me regarding budget, options, etc etc. He is spot on. Now lets move into scheduling work. I can say scheduling was outstanding also. Please keep in mind that weather plays a factor and I was fortunate enough to have weather work for me. No interruption or pushing the scheduled date. Flawless for me. Moving onto the construction. I was told they would have it built in two weeks and they built in five days. Also keep in mind that this is dependent on accessibility to where the pool i sgoing to be built, laydown area for materials, and if you have enough room to spread to dirt removed from the pool. I had the perfect scenario and did not have to do any roadside work such as having a dump truck on site and removing dirt from site to the truck. I also have a nice slope of my property where drainage works well with no need to well point any drains to get it off the property. I also did not have any trees impacting the construction. So in comes the crew and they killed it! they were awesome. They know what they are doing. I have been in construction for 40 years and know I know a crew. This is a well oiled machine. Now they do subcontract their equipment operations to dig, electrical, and their concrete. These folks are dedicated to this company and do not do any other work. This does result in paying extra opposed to an all inclusive pool company that does not sub contract anything, but you will be hard pressed to find one of them. SInce I brought up pricing, I put this company in mid pack. Not the cheapest but not the most expensive. The start up of the pool with Anne was outstanding. She knows pool chemicals and set up as if she was chemist. She got in, detailed all cleanup with the pools, got the chemicals perfect on the first time and shared a ton of knowledge with me. What an asset to have. One last thing to consider: This company has a full blown service department for anything that can go wrong and they keep the parts on the truck. Best contracting experience I have had in a long long long time.
Our pool looks fantastic! It came out so much better than we expected. The whole group of people that work for Gulf Coast Pool and Spa is amazing, too. Bill, the owner, was great. He was always there to answer any of our questions and solve any problems. He was always available for us. Donna is great, too. She always answered my emails very quickly and was great to talk to on the phone. Aaron, the foreman, is a great guy. He and his crew was always there on time and didn't leave till that's day's job was done. He even came back after hours to get some things done. Very nice guy. Anne, who explains how to operate the pool, is great, too. She even came out on July 4th to show us some things and to clean our new pool so we could swim during the holiday. Thank y'all so much! We love our new pool. We highly recommend Gulf Coast Pool and Spa! We went to 5 different pool companies in town and was glad we chose them. They do not disappoint.
Our neighbors had Gulf Coast Pool install their pool last August. They were very impressed with their promptness, quality and professionalism. So when it came time to install my pool I chose them as well. I'm so glad I did. Bill worked with our needs for the quote. When the time came to install, Thomas, Aaron and Tom were prompt to the point of early! Great guys! The install was just as they described. I was having a room addition going on at the same time and my contractor was very impressed at the quality of work they were doing as well. After the pool was complete we had Pool School with Ann. She made 1st time pool owners feel like we can handle this new investment. And shout out to Rhonda who helped us with admin stuff. I can not say enough good about this company. More service driven companies should follow their example.
We had such a great experience with this Gulf Coast Pool & Spa! Carrie tested my water and walked me through everything step by step — exactly what chemicals to add, how much of each, where to pour them, and even how to run the pump and salt system while adding them. She was incredibly detailed and made sure I fully understood the process. Then Josh came out and showed me how to properly vacuum the pool, explained which valves to turn off, and answered every single question I had. He also checked my sand and confirmed it did NOT need to be replaced — even though another company told me it did and was going to charge me $800 for it. I truly appreciate their honesty, patience, and willingness to educate instead of upsell. It’s hard to find companies you can trust, and this team definitely earned ours! Highly recommend!
My experience with Gulf Coast Pool & Spa Inc was dreadful. From pricing to quality they were just not up to par. After the contract they raised the price of the pool on several occasions. After we had a disagreement they would not refund the 2000 dollar deposit stating they had that much in the liner they ordered. The site specifications regarding how they were to leave the lawn was defined as rough grade. Well our house had three wheel barrels of soft ball size cement scattered around the pool. The back yard was basically ungraded dirt, however, they have responded that they don't "lift the grass and put it back after the pool is installed". How unprofessional to speak to a customer in this way. After my review on another website they tried to intimidate me by stating they were contacting their lawyer. I guess they feel I don't have the right to share my experience after they failed miserably to meet my expectations. I had been curious why I didn't find any negative reviews until they stated they were sending my complaint to their attorney. I guess this is how they deal with negative feedback. I would stay away from this company and I wish someone would have shared their experience as I have.
If you’re thinking about using gulf coast pools, don’t. Here was my experience: the first person they sent out to measure my pool was new and did not know what they were doing so they had to send a second person a week later to do it correctly. Next, the workers who worked on my pool, used MY outside broom to get the water out and then stole it. Third, there is a huge debit at the very bottom of the pool next to the drain. Fourth, I never received an actual contract or any type of paperwork from these people. As I am waiting for a bill in the mail, I never received one. The date on my bill was March 3, 2023. I missed the email they sent me on May 5, 2023 (2 months later) then in July 2023 they charged me a late fee of $100. They made 5 attempts to contact me (3 emails , 1 phone call that I returned with NO answer, and 1 text). All I asked after paying over $6000 was for you to take off the hundred dollar late fee because of your poor customer services. You and your office staff were very passive aggressive. You guys are terrible at customer service. They are not worth your time.
